Manufacturing AI company onepredict has launched a pilot project with five leading Korean pharmaceutical manufacturers to deploy industrial AI across pharmaceutical production facilities.

On July 7, onepredict announced its participation in the pharmaceutical consortium of the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's 2026 Industrial AI Solution Demonstration and Deployment Program, where it will work with major pharmaceutical companies to validate industrial AI in real manufacturing environments.

The government-backed initiative aims to verify the effectiveness of proven industrial AI solutions in operational manufacturing facilities and establish scalable deployment models for different industries. The project is led by the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), with the Chungbuk Institute of Science & Technology Innovation (CBIST) serving as a participating organization.

As the industrial AI solution provider within the consortium, onepredict will collaborate with five major pharmaceutical companies: △ Chong Kun Dang △ Dong Wha Pharm △ Korea Pharm Bio △ GC Biopharma △ JW Pharmaceutical

onepredict will deploy its Predictive Maintenance (PdM) AI and energy optimization technologies across pharmaceutical production facilities. The project aims to predict equipment failures before they occur, optimize energy operations, reduce unexpected equipment downtime, and improve both production stability and operational efficiency.

The pilot will quantitatively evaluate AI performance using real pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. Participating companies will also work together to standardize pharmaceutical production data and build an industry-wide common dataset. The resulting data will be accumulated in a format that can be shared through Korea's Korea AI Manufacturing Platform (KAMP).

Through the project, onepredict aims to establish practical industrial AI operating models that deliver measurable improvements in manufacturing competitiveness rather than simply deploying AI software. Based on the validated results, the company plans to expand its industrial AI solutions beyond pharmaceuticals into other manufacturing sectors.

"The success of manufacturing AI depends on how consistently it can operate and deliver measurable results in real production environments," said Byeng Dong Youn, CEO of onepredict. "Through this pharmaceutical industrial AI consortium, we aim to establish a leading example of how AI can improve manufacturing productivity and operational efficiency."

Last month, Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy officially launched its Industrial AI Solution and AI Agent initiatives, announcing plans to expand AI adoption beyond manufacturing operations into production planning, supply chain management, safety and environmental management, and product design.
