The 'ai factory connect day 2026,' aimed at accelerating the Artificial Intelligence Transformation (AX) of the manufacturing industry, will be held on February 25 at the Medium Conference Room of the Science and Technology Convention Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Hosted by the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), this event focuses on materializing AI strategies tailored to companies, centered around the latest technological trends in manufacturing AI and on-site adoption cases.

The event runs from 1:00 PM to 5:10 PM, featuring invited lectures and case presentations by manufacturing AI researchers and AI solution enterprise experts who will share industry-centric insights. Furthermore, it is structured to allow companies to explore customized adoption directions through on-site technical consultations.

From Agentic AI and Data Strategies to Process Application...

The first invited lecture will be delivered by Soo-yeol Yang, CTO of Crowdworks, under the theme 'The Path to Agentic AI – AI-Ready Data and Industrial AI Agent Strategies.' He plans to cover the establishment of practically usable data architectures in industrial sites and strategies for transitioning to agentic AI.

Next, Professor Jong-suk Lee from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at KAIST will present on 'Data Limitations and Countermeasures in Manufacturing AI Model Training.' The main topics include the issues of data imbalance and sparsity that arise due to the characteristics of the manufacturing environment, along with learning strategies to overcome them.

In the third lecture, Bo-seon Yoo, Technical Director at Ineeji, will share actual process optimization cases and application know-how under the theme 'Application of Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing Processes.'

Spotlight on Multimodal Foundation Models and Digital Twins...

In the technology trends session, Hak-su Lim, a researcher at KAIST's Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI, will present 'Closed-loop Process Operations Completed by Multimodal Manufacturing Foundation Models and Digital Twins/Agents.' Strategies to implement closed-loop process operations via a foundation model that integrally learns manufacturing data and a digital twin-based agent system will be introduced.

Lastly, Beom-chan Jang, PM at onepredict, will present 'Cases of Manufacturing AI Solution Adoption,' sharing practical application experiences and outcomes from industrial sites.

"A Manufacturing AI Platform Connecting Technology and the Field"

This event is significant in that it aims to be a 'connect' platform bridging research, solutions, and on-site application, moving beyond simple technology introductions. Experts from KAIST and leading domestic manufacturing AI solution companies—Ineeji (CEO Jae-sik Choi), Crowdworks (CEO Kwang-il Kim), and onepredict (CEO byeng dong youn)—are participating. By sharing practical adoption experiences and strategies, they will support manufacturing companies in establishing their AI transformation roadmaps.

As industrial sites rapidly transition toward 'data-driven decision-making' and 'agentic automation,' this 'ai factory connect day 2026' is expected to serve as an intersection overlooking the present and future of manufacturing AI. The event is free by invitation, and attendance is available through advance registration (View).
