GUARDIONE® MOTOR performs diagnostics on 3-phase induction motors that are started directly and driven at a constant speed.
Yes, it is possible. Changes due to mechanical faults generate changes in 3-phase electric current supplied to the motor. Therefore, detecting such changes enables the diagnosis of mechanical faults using current signals.
The installation is simple. You are able to also detect both electrical abnormalities as well as mechanical abnormalities.
The diagnostic sensitivity for mechanical abnormalities may be lower compared to existing methods, but it is more than sufficient for maintenance. In addition, you can monitor the energy index of motor facilities based on the current data.
You can start using it immediately after installation. However, we recommend a 2-week training period to adapt for the characteristics and environment of each facility.
The training period is relatively short compared to existing solutions since we use an industrial AI algorithm to simultaneously conduct data collection and algorithm enhancement,
Yes, it is extremely simple. The current sensor can be installed in an easily accessible MCC (Motor Control Center) rather than directly on the actual facility.
Other existing sensors need to be installed on motors that are in operation, making the installation more difficult and costly. Installing these sensors in extreme conditions may pose a danger, and sometimes even require the facilities to be stopped for installation.
The signal from the spectral analyzer can be obscured depending on the noise and motor operating conditions at the site.
Nevertheless, GUARDIONE® MOTOR performs accurate motor condition diagnostics by not only conducting frequency analysis but also utilizing self-developed signal preprocessing techniques to refine the signals and devising proprietary characteristic factors based on the spectral analysis.
