[ An Oil Refinery with the World’s Third-Largest Refining Capacity ]

"By utilizing guardione® motor,

we efficiently managed a large number of motors and successfully predicted and managed unplanned motor failures that could arise from stator winding short circuits."

Account Overview

This account is a prominent domestic oil refinery that operates large-scale plants for the production and supply of various petroleum products, catering to both domestic and international markets.

Challenge

Due to the operation of tens of thousands of motors within the plant, there was a significant demand for integrated operational management.

The client encountered challenges when relying on post-maintenance methods to address failures, as it proved to be a difficult and reactive approach. Moreover, employing regular maintenance methods for critical facilities often resulted in excessive maintenance activities.

As a solution, the client recognized the importance of predictive management to enhance production efficiency and mitigate the drawbacks associated with traditional maintenance approaches.

Project

Recognizing the requirement for an effective multi-motor management solution, guardione® motor was introduced following the outlined process:

1. Motor diagnosis consulting was conducted, encompassing discussions on the analysis principles of guardione® motor, system configuration diagrams, and proposals for hardware installation.

2. Data learning and modeling were carried out for approximately two weeks subsequent to the hardware installation.

3. Motor trend observation and monitoring were performed using the acquired algorithm, enabling the sharing of failure situations and facilitating effective maintenance practices.

Result

1. By implementing guardione® motor, we successfully initiated online monitoring and integrated management of numerous low-voltage motors that had not been previously managed.

2. The adoption of guardione® motor as an optimal solution enabled more efficient facility management through timely communication with customers, facilitated by the implementation of a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) system.
