Onepredict digitalizes Korea’s first oil refining/petrochemical plant with AI-based facility management, to strengthen asset management and predict cause of failure in turbomachinery.
An industrial AI-based facility predictive diagnosis solution startup, onepredict, introduces ‘GUARDIONE® TURBO’ an industrial AI-based facility predictive diagnostic solution aimed at facilitating maintenance for large rotating machines such as turbines, compressors, and fans. The primary production assets that support business continuity are at the GS Caltex Yeosu plant.
Implementing GUARDIONE ® TURBO, GS Caltex now equips a 'digital twin' of their assets which provides advanced detection of abnormalities with root cause analysis during operation of large rotating machines in the plant and provides detailed diagnosis based on vibration and operation data with on-site recommended actions. This allows us to maximize operational efficiency by reducing production losses due to abnormalities in the operation of major facilities, accelerating digital innovation in the oil refining and chemical industries.
GUARDIONE® TURBO solution establishes a framework for rotating facility management, providing a second opinion to strengthen operational management and continual up-time of turbomachinery assets. GS Caltex can now accelerate facility diagnostics providing environment-based prescriptive results analyzed against quantitative data. GUARDIONE® TURBO combines domestic knowledge and industrial AI with a digital twin, providing real-time diagnostic reports with the ability to identify 15 of the major defects that can occur in large rotating equipment. This allows users to easily obtain objective information about the equipment's status, guiding the user to take proactive action for the earliest turnarounds. Users are enabled the viewability to visualize the status of their assets through a digital twin approach on the GUARDIONE UI, with an intuitive 3D replica to understand facility abnormalities including the event history.
The thought process behind Professor ByengDong Youn, CEO of onepredict was “If a large rotating facility in the oil refining/petrochemical process stops, it immediately leads to production loss, affecting the continual operation of the facility. Advancing a data-backed diagnosis can support SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) counter such situations.” GS Caltex's adoption of GUARDIONE® TURBO is the first case of a leading private oil refining/petrochemical company adopting onepredict’s solution. “We have only been supplying power plants in the public and private sectors, with our deployment at the GS Caltex Yeosu plant, we have an opportunity to expand into the oil refining/petrochemical market. With recognition from industrial leaders such as GS Caltex that understood our tech, we aim to introduce GUARDIONE® TURBO across different industrial domains. Onepredict is the first to lead the predictive maintenance for industrial assets backed by Industrial AI. With our domestic strength, we aim to expand to be the global solution for AI based maintenance for rotating equipment”.
Meanwhile, onepredict is pursuing the expansion of GUARDIONE® TURBO business targeting oil refining/petrochemical industrial complexes in Ulsan and Yeosu. In addition, onepredict is entering the global market through a branch office established in Texas, USA, and is actively progressing to establish a distribution network with leading companies in the US.
