This account is an eco-friendly comprehensive energy company engaged in collective energy business operations. They supply heat and energy through cogeneration in an industrial complex and also operate a solar power generation business overseas.


Challenge

The client faced imbalance issues caused by localized heat from the generator, the root cause of which was unknown.


Project

A significant, unknown vibration was occurring in the generator, and guardione® turbo accurately identified the cause through the following process:



1. Grouping data related to operational factors affecting generator vibration into domains.


2. Performing root cause analysis by combining the characteristics of generator vibration and operational data.


3. Compiling the diagnosis results into a user-friendly report, which was then shared with users.




Result

Guardione® Turbo accurately identified and diagnosed the cause of high vibration occurring in the gas turbine generator through DCS (Distributed Control System) data analysis. Since gas turbines are expensive equipment, this diagnosis helped the client save significant time and money on maintenance.
