01 Client

The client is a comprehensive LPG company engaged in LPG import/distribution, renewable energy, and hydrogen businesses.





02 Background

In this client’s case, the pump motor was buried deep underground, making it difficult to accurately determine any motor failures. The only available method was to measure insulation resistance using portable equipment, and there was no way to detect mechanical failures in the motor.

In addition, the client was maintaining the motors by replacing them rather than repairing them when failures occurred, and they kept multiple spare motors in stock for this purpose.

03 Issue

The client had a need for a solution that could detect motor conditions in advance and allow for proactive maintenance. They were introduced to the guardione® motor through onepredict and proceeded with a PoC.

1. Provided consulting on motor diagnostics through an explanation of guardione® motor’s analysis principles, system configuration, and hardware installation proposals

2. Conducted approximately two weeks of data learning and modeling after hardware installation

3. Monitored motor trends and performed frequency analysis using the trained algorithm, then shared the results

04 Result

1. Faults occurred in two of the client's motors, and the system accurately diagnosed a combined fault in the stator and shaft, and a stator fault respectively.

2. The motors were disassembled to analyze the cause, and the diagnosed faults were confirmed. Based on the trust gained through the PoC, the client adopted the guardione® motor and is now expanding its use to other sites.

3. By using the guardione® motor for predictive maintenance, downtime was reduced by approximately 30%.
