01 Client

The client is a future-oriented eco-friendly energy company engaged in LPG import/distribution, renewable energy, and hydrogen businesses. 





02 Background

Since the client's motor frequently starts and stops, there was a high probability of electrical and mechanical faults. In particular, they wanted to clearly identify the presence and cause of internal component defects (such as stator and rotor), but due to the installation structure, disassembly inspection was difficult. Furthermore, traditional insulation resistance or vibration measurements could not confirm the condition of electrical or mechanical faults. 

03 Issue

The client needed a solution that could provide early insight into motor conditions and allow for preemptive action. Through onepredict, they were introduced to guardione® motor and decided to adopt the solution. 

1. Provided consulting on motor diagnostics, including an explanation of guardione® motor's analysis principles, system configuration, and hardware installation proposal. 

2. Conducted approximately two weeks of data learning and modeling after hardware installation. 

3. Observed motor trends and analyzed frequency data using the trained algorithm, and shared the diagnostic results. 

04 Result

1. Using the guardione® motor solution, a motor defect was detected, and it was confirmed in detail that the rotor bar damage had significantly progressed. 

2. In addition, current RMS analysis—one of guardione® motor’s measurement factors—revealed that motor efficiency had decreased by approximately 20%. 

3. The decrease in efficiency was confirmed with the client, and maintenance planning was initiated while monitoring the deterioration trend.
