01 Client

The client is a major domestic power generation company that produces and supplies electricity using LNG. 






02 Background

To prevent unexpected shutdowns of motors at their operating combined-cycle power plant and receive early warnings of anomalies, the client adopted the guardione® solution. guardione® integrates dispersed equipment data and monitors the health and operational status of key assets, enabling accurate detection of equipment anomalies. 



03 Issue

1. The guardione® solution identified a high level of current imbalance in the motor equipment through its "current imbalance monitoring" function.  

2. To determine the root cause of the anomaly in the current data, additional vibration data was acquired and analyzed in detail, revealing a defect on the low-speed gear side. 


04 Result

Based on the analysis results from the guardione® solution, the client implemented predictive maintenance (pdm), enabling focused management of the equipment and preventing failure. This led to a significant improvement in maintenance and preventive maintenance efficiency, and the client's trust in the guardione® solution also increased.
