onepredict has been officially recognized for its excellence in predictive diagnostic technology and algorithms through joint development with KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation). To introduce guardione® substation, which provides higher diagnostic accuracy compared to traditional methods, the client conducted a PoC and repeatedly verified its diagnostic and predictive accuracy. A blind test of guardione® substation was conducted using pre-failure data and maintenance history of a transformer that had previously been diagnosed as ‘normal’ based on IEEE and IEC international standards but eventually failed.

The guardione® solution successfully completed the verification process as outlined below and led to the signing of a multi-year contract covering all transformers.

1. For the transformer used in the PoC, the guardione® solution diagnosed it in a Warning state a full year before the actual repair took place.

2. In addition to diagnosis and prediction, the solution also identified the root cause and fault location. guardione® substation diagnosed the cause as ‘loosening at the connection point,’ which was later confirmed by actual bolt discoloration due to overheating.
