01 Client

The client is an eco-friendly integrated energy company engaged in LPG import and distribution, as well as renewable energy and hydrogen businesses.






02 Background

Most of the client’s main transformer facilities had been in use for decades without replacement, raising general concerns about potential accidents or failures. There was a strong opinion that full replacement was necessary, and the internal process for replacing the main transformers was nearly complete. However, since replacing a transformer requires tens to hundreds of billions of KRW, a clear diagnostic basis for replacement was essential.


03 Issue

Due to the lack of trust in conventional diagnostic methods, it was crucial to prove the reliability of guardione®’s industrial AI-based diagnostic approach. guardione® proved its reliability through the following steps:

1. Learning from historical transformer data at the client’s plant

2. Analyzing and diagnosing recent gas data using the trained algorithm

3. Determining the optimal replacement timing based on guardione®’s diagnostic results


04 Result

The guardione® solution successfully met the client’s requirements as follows:

1. Through big data and AI algorithms, it was projected that all of the client’s transformers would continue to operate normally without major issues for the next five years. onepredict’s expert engineers provided direct technical support to back this projection with solid evidence.

2. Thanks to the accurate diagnosis and prediction capabilities of the guardione® solution, the client was able to significantly reduce budget, manpower, and time resources.

3. Through this verification process, the client regained trust in insulating oil analysis diagnostics, and analysis using guardione® substation has since been incorporated into the client’s maintenance schedule. As a result, the guardione® solution is now being applied to oil-immersed transformers across the client’s nationwide facilities.
