01 Client

The client is a global energy company that develops and operates energy businesses, including solar power generation, combined heat and power (CHP), LNG, and hydrogen fuel cell projects.





02 Background

The client's combined heat and power (CHP) plant had several sub-transformers that had been operating under consistently high load for nearly 10 years. Due to the limitations of simple diagnostics and conventional insulating oil analysis, the client was unable to establish a clear overhaul and inspection plan, operating the transformers in an uncertain state. Since there had been no inspections or shutdowns for a long time, the client was vaguely planning a full-scale inspection.

03 Issue

onepredict has been officially recognized for its predictive diagnostic technology and algorithm through its joint development with KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation). Unlike traditional diagnostic methods, guardione® substation enables precision diagnostics and maintenance recommendations, allowing for inspection planning and serving as a tool to gain insights for a full-scale inspection. The client wanted accurate diagnostic results and actionable maintenance planning insights for the transformers they had been closely monitoring.

04 Result

The guardione® solution successfully completed verification as outlined below and delivered results that satisfied the client.

1. Using industrial AI algorithms, the guardione® solution identified transformers requiring special attention within the next five years.

2. By selecting only the transformers flagged for special attention as targets for precision inspection, the client was able to reduce unnecessary inspection costs and significantly improve operational efficiency.
