The client has been continuously seeking ways to manage transformers to prevent serious industrial accidents that could not only halt plant operations but also cause injuries due to a single defect.
Although regular inspections are conducted monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually for safety, the large number of transformers to manage created challenges—not only with actual maintenance tasks but also with the heavy burden of documentation. In particular, analyzing dissolved gas values from inside the transformers using conventional methods was difficult, as multiple international standards and differing individual judgment criteria made it nearly impossible to accurately assess not only the future but even the current condition of the transformers.
For these reasons, the client began looking into predictive diagnostic solutions and considered adopting guardione® by onepredict, which had jointly developed a comprehensive substation preventive diagnostic system with KEPCO, Korea’s largest transformer operator.
