01 Client

The client is a public institution under Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and a member of the nation’s largest power supply group. It is responsible for the safe and stable supply of eco-friendly energy, and is now achieving notable results not only domestically but also overseas. 






02 Background

The client was looking for an easy way to monitor turbine vibration levels and rotor balancing information during commissioning and overhaul periods in order to reduce the time required for condition analysis. 






03 Issue

guardione® turbo effectively analyzed data such as amplitude, phase, and shaft center line changes during operation to support field balancing. 

1. Orbit contains amplitude and phase information, which was organized by bearing sequence to visualize the rotation shape. 

2. Used 3D vibration patterns to identify the field balancing point. 

3. Assessed alignment based on changes in shaft center line and bearing position information. 


04 Result

guardione® turbo successfully reduced analysis time by enabling easy monitoring of vibration levels and rotor balancing information during the roll-up period through visual inspection of 3D vibration patterns. It also allowed for effective observation of vibration mode shapes for the entire rotating assembly and real-time VMS (Vibration Monitoring System) data.
